At 23:59 (BJT) on December 18, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Jishishan County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. This caused concern around China.

GAC Group, together with its affiliates, donated 5 million RMB in cash to the earthquake-stricken areas in Gansu instantly for emergency relief, livelihood assistance, post-disaster reconstruction and other related endeavors.
