On November 30, 2024, Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Group) and  Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei) entered into a strategic partnership and signed a deepening cooperation agreement at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. A new premium intelligent NEV brand will be launched by GAC Group, in addition to GAC Motor, AION and HYPTEC. By leveraging the strengths of both companies, the new brand aims to offer customers a leading intelligent experience through cooperation in product development, marketing and ecological services.

The signing was witnessed by Zeng Qinghong, Chairman of GAC Group, Feng Xingya, President of GAC Group, Xu Zhijun, rotating Chairman of Huawei, and Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei’s Intelligent automotive business solutions BU. Xia Xianqing, Vice President of GAC Group, and Chi Linchun, Vice President of Huawei’s Intelligent automotive business solutions BU, signed the agreement on behalf of GAC Group and Huawei respectively.

GAC Group, with 27 years of experiences in automotive industry, boosted strengths in vehicle manufacturing, platform, battery technology, quality control; while Huawei specialized in information and communication technology (ICT)  and took the lead in intelligence. Leveraging their hardware and software edges, the two companies will carry out in-depth collaboration in intelligent vehicle development, marketing and ecological services to achieve their shared targets. It is expected that the “Huawei intelligence + GAC smart manufacturing “ mode will make new achievements in the industry.
